RRB NTPC Eligibility Criteria 2025

The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have released the CEN 06/2025 notification for Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) Graduate Level posts. Candidates must ensure they meet the prescribed eligibility conditions regarding age, educational qualification, and nationality before applying online.

Age Relaxation

Relaxation in upper age limit / maximum upper age for the following categories is applicable subject to submission of requisite certificates:

  • If a candidate is eligible for age relaxation on more than one ground, he/she will get the maximum amongst the relaxations for which he/she is eligible (not cumulative).
  • SC, ST & OBC (NCL) candidates applying against UR vacancies will not be eligible to get any age relaxation.
  • PwBD candidates applying against UR vacancies will be allowed age relaxation applicable for PwBD (UR) only – subject to conditions of suitability.

Educational Qualification

The educational requirements for Graduate Level posts:

  • Graduate Level Posts: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.

Candidates awaiting results of the qualifying examination are not eligible to apply.

Additional Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be an Indian citizen, or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement.
  • Medical Standards: Candidates must satisfy prescribed vision and physical standards as per RRB norms for each post.
  • Typing Skill Test: Required for posts like Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist, Junior Clerk cum Typist, etc.
  • Language Proficiency: Candidates should have adequate proficiency in the local language of the RRB region they apply for.
  • Service Bond: Candidates appointed in Railway service are liable to serve anywhere in India as per the requirement of the Indian Railways.
