SBI Clerk Eligibility Criteria 2025

State Bank of India prescribes specific eligibility criteria for candidates applying to the Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) 2025 recruitment. Candidates must meet the requirements for age, education, nationality, and other factors as per the official advertisement before applying.

Age Limit

  • Age Range: Not below 20 years and not above 28 years as of 1st April 2025.
  • Date of Birth: Candidates must have been born between 02.04.1997 and 01.04.2005 (both days inclusive).

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have a Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government.

Final year/semester students may apply provisionally, but must produce proof of graduation completion (mark-sheet/certificate) on or before 31.12.2025.

Ex-servicemen: Matriculate ex-servicemen, after min. 15 years service in Armed Forces and obtained Indian Army Special Certificate of Education or equivalent Navy/Air Force, are eligible provided such certificates are dated on or before 31.12.2025.

Additional Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be an Indian citizen.
  • Language Proficiency: Should be able to read, write, speak, and understand the local language of the State/UT applying for. If not studied in 10th or 12th, must pass the Local Language Proficiency Test after main exam.
  • Transfer Policy: No inter-state/inter-circle transfer. Intra-state transfer allowed only between specified circles within the same state.
  • Credit History: Candidates must not have defaulted on loans/credit card dues with banks or NBFCs at the time of appointment.
  • Candidates who have worked in SBI Clerical Cadre earlier or resigned from SBI clerical post are not eligible.
  • Existing SBI clerical employees cannot apply for this recruitment.
