The Main examination includes 170 objective questions for 200 marks plus a descriptive paper of 2 questions for 25 marks.

Important Exam Rules

  • There is a negative marking of one-fourth (0.25) of the marks assigned to a question for every wrong answer in the objective tests.
  • No penalty is applied for unanswered questions.
  • Candidates must obtain the required sectional and total cut-offs in the Online Main Examination to be shortlisted for Personality Test and Interview.
  • Only marks obtained in the Online Main Examination are considered for shortlisting to Personality Test and Interview and for final merit preparation.

Personality Test & Interview

  • The Personality Test is non-qualifying but mandatory to appear in the interview process.
  • The interview carries 100 marks.
  • Minimum qualifying marks in interview are 40% for general candidates and 35% for SC / ST / OBC / PwBD candidates.
  • The relative weightage of Main Exam and Interview is 80:20.
