SBI PO Eligibility Criteria 2026
Candidates applying for SBI PO 2026 must satisfy the prescribed eligibility conditions related to age, educational qualification, number of chances, and applicable reservation rules.
Age Limit (as on 01.04.2026)
A candidate must be not below 21 years and not above 30 years as on 01 April 2026.
- Candidate must have been born not later than 01.04.2005
- Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.04.1996

Cumulative age relaxation is not available either within the above categories or in combination with any other item.
Educational Qualification (as on 30.09.2026)
Candidates must hold graduation in any discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
Candidates in the final year / final semester of graduation may also apply provisionally, provided that if called for interview they produce proof of passing the graduation examination on or before 30 September 2026.
Candidates with qualifications such as Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountant, and Cost Accountant are also eligible.

- Appearing in the Main Examination is counted as a chance.
- Appearing in the Preliminary Examination is not counted as a chance.
- In years where only one written examination is held, appearing in that examination counts as a chance.
Other Important Conditions
- Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply under this recruitment.
- OBC candidates belonging to the creamy layer are not entitled to OBC reservation or age relaxation and must apply under UR where applicable.
- EWS benefit requires a valid Income and Asset Certificate in the prescribed format.
- Candidates with adverse credit history must regularize the issue on or before joining; otherwise, appointment may be withdrawn.
